Wedding Info📋

  • Please scroll down to the next section of this page for much more detailed info on travel to and from the Wedding.

Entering Hungary: If you’re not an EU National, make sure your passport was issued within the last 10 years and is valid for at least three months after your intended departure date.

  • There will be a variety of foods at the wedding. We’ll have snacks, a ridiculous amount of cakes and one dinner early evening, one dinner around midnight.

It won’t be a fancy sit-down meal we’ll tell you that much. But tasty none the less!

Note: You are able to bring snacks, cakes and booze to the wedding venue if you like! This applies more to the locals as we doubt you’ll be baking a cake in your Airbnb.

If you fancy your favourite Gin or Whiskey - bring it along!

  • As you like it.

Something fun, wacky with bright colours. Full death metal black trench coat. Or your finest suit and blouse will all do.

Posh hats and excessive accessories are more than welcome but please note, the venue is a big farm so we advise against very fancy or uncomfortable shoes.

  • As you know Tom is an engineer so is obliged to put safety first.

Farm Animals: There are lots of animals on site and you are welcome to say hi! However please do not feed them and take special care when approaching the pet wild boar.

Lake: There is a lovely little lake on site, which you are welcome to dip into. However, please keep your children and inebriated other halves safe when doing so.

Forest: The venue is surrounded by lovely forest areas. Please take special care when venturing too far, especially at night. We do not take responsibility for any wild boar bites.

  • Dogs: You are welcome to bring your dog along on the day. What we ask is when you arrive you introduce your dog to the dogs who live on site! The Owners will be around and are happy to help you with the introductions.

Kids: In the RSVP form we ask if you are bringing your under 18 child along. Please do! We need to know their age and any special requirements you might need (chair, food, toys). We are planning on some kid-friendly distractions and games, aiming to keep boredom to a minimum.

  • Weather: the weather should be nice, anything between 13 and 23 degrees.
    Some stats here.

Grounds: this is a farm/grass/foresty venue so bring comfy shoes!

You can take a look at the lovely animals, jump in the lake and take a little walk.

  • A couple of notes:

    • You are able to bring some booze and snacks if you like. Mostly some locals will be making cakes as it is custom in Hungary.

    • Bring coins! Any coins.

    • The ceremony will be in English and in Hungarian.

    • The party goes on as long as you can last!

  • We’ll give exact timings on the ‘Wedding Itinerary’ Tab closer to date.

However, you can expect to have to arrive to the venue early afternoon.

Hungarian weddings tend to go on until the morning, and we have to leave the venue by around midday the next day.

  • Money can be a touchy subject during a wedding, so we want to touch on it.

As many will be travelling from faraway lands and taking a lot of time (and money) out of their lives to come see us, we don’t expect anyone to break the bank and feel pressured to contribute at the wedding. We just want to see you all on our wedding day.

If you feel compelled, we will be setting up a Donations link which will go towards our honeymoon.

Of course any gifts are welcome also.

  • Further down you’ll find plenty of information on the location of the wedding.

You are able to stay either near to Verőce (for example in the lovely town of Vác), or even in Budapest.

You can also camp on-site with your own equipment.

Wedding Location 📍

We wanted to give you detailed information on where the wedding will be, so that you can decide where to stay and how to get around.

The wedding’s location is at Lósi Major. See below for their website and Google Maps location.

How to get there

On the day of the wedding, we’ll ask you to make your way to Verőce.

You can do so by train if you are staying in Budapest or Vác or nearby smaller towns. We’ll be shuttling people from the Verőce train station to the venue.

Once you’re done with partying, we’ll make sure we will help get you home to your accommodation by a taxi service. Budapest is only about 30 mins away.

There is parking at the venue for those who are driving.

Where to stay

Budapest Airport is on the South-East edge of the city.

You can take a bus (100E) or a taxi into the center.

You can purchase your airport bus ticket on the Budapest Go App.

It is recommended to use the Bolt app for Taxis, as there is no Uber here. I’d avoid getting into random taxis which are not ordered via the app.

The trains to Verőce go from Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Train Station).
So you can stay pretty much anywhere in central Budapest, or near this train station.

Vác is about 6 minutes on the train from Verőce, which is a nice small town you can also stay in.

Here is a link to accommodation options close to the Venue.

⛺️ CAMPING: You can also camp at the Venue on Friday and Saturday!
Do let us know on the RSVP form if you’d like to.
